Make Blues Not War

Blues Caravan, Moods, 15.4.2018

BERNARD ALLISON, VANJA SKY, MIKE ZIT

Supported by the Blues Caravan rhythm section, each artist plays a set before joining up for the grand finale.

It was so easy to get into the rhythm with the three guitarists from the label Ruf who tour under the moniker Bluescaravan. It’s a yearly event and the 2018 edition was pretty much to my liking. The bass and drummer were pros and had their part to play too.

On the whole, I had fun, I danced along and their Blues chased mine away. Loved the petite, wiry, energetic Vania Sky. She’s got it coming and knows how to use her deep, and throaty voice to the maximum and plays a decent guitar.

I simply fell for Mike Zito’s Texan style and am looking to get his newest album on the next occasion.

Bernard Allison built a bridge to his Daddy and not only in telling his stories of him.

Later, the two guys hit it off together and when finlly the three united, it was for a new happy moment of good sound, of some funny jamming and guitar chatting to top the rest of the moment.
